Special Needs and Disabilities
At Tabasamu La Jamii, we are dedicated to making a profound impact on the lives of children with special needs and disabilities, focusing on conditions such as autism and spinal problems. In our community, many mothers face overwhelming challenges in caring for their children with disabilities, often resulting in isolation or difficult decisions due to a lack of knowledge and support.
Our proactive approach involves reaching out to homes in Arusha urban and beyond, actively searching for and identifying children with special needs. We extend a helping hand by providing crucial education to mothers, empowering them with the knowledge and skills needed to care for their children effectively. Our specialized exercises are designed to contribute to the improvement of the children’s conditions.
Currently, the absence of a collective education center for special needs in Arusha poses a significant gap, with families having to travel to Moshi for such services. As Tabasamu La Jamii, our vision is to bridge this gap and establish a dedicated center right here in Arusha. We aspire to create a space where children with disabilities can receive the care they deserve, while their mothers are equipped with essential caregiving skills.
To realize this vision, we rely on the support of generous donors and individuals who share our commitment to making a positive difference.
